Deleting your data

Three ways to remove data from PostWharf, depending on how much you want gone. Each one is described exactly as it behaves — there is no separate "request" queue that a human has to action first.

Disconnect one social account

Removes that channel and the credentials held for it, and leaves the rest of your workspace alone.

  1. Open your workspace and go to Accounts.
  2. Find the connected account and choose Disconnect.
  3. Confirm. The channel and its stored credentials are deleted immediately.

Anything already queued to that channel will fail rather than publish. Delivery records for posts that already went out are kept, because they are your history — delete the account below if you want those gone too.

Delete your whole account

Removes your login, your workspaces, your channels, your media, your posts and your delivery history.

  1. Open your workspace.
  2. Go to Settings → Account and choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Deletion happens immediately, not on a queue.

Workspaces you are the only member of are deleted with you. Workspaces shared with other people survive; you are removed from them so the remaining members keep their work.

Or over the API

curl -X DELETE https://api.postwharf.com/v1/auth/me \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $YOUR_SESSION_TOKEN"

The response lists the workspaces that were deleted. Your session stops working at that moment.

Or email us

Write to [email protected] from the address on the account. We action it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

What is deleted, and when

  • Social account credentials — immediately when you disconnect a channel or delete your account.
  • Posts, delivery records and receipts — immediately on account deletion.
  • Uploaded media — 30 days after the post it belonged to was published or cancelled, and immediately on account deletion.
  • Technical logs — within 90 days.
  • Backups — purged on a rolling 35-day cycle, so a deleted account is gone from backups within 35 days.
