PostWharf vs Buffer

Buffer charges per channel, so every extra account raises the bill. PostWharf prices per workspace.

The pricing model

What six brands actually costs

Buffer charges per channel. That is fine for one brand and brutal for six. Thirty channels across six brands, five networks each — the shape most people running more than one account end up with.

Straight answer

PostWharf or Buffer?

Where PostWharf wins

  • Per workspace, so 30 channels costs the same as 3
  • A delivery receipt per network on every post, re-checked after publishing, with the reason when one fails
  • CLI, REST API and MCP server on every plan
  • Per-network copy — a different caption and hashtags per network, from one post

Where Buffer wins

  • Buffer publishes to every network it lists. Reddit, Discord, Snapchat and WordPress are request-only here, so four of ours cannot be connected yet.
  • Buffer has years of reliability behind it and a real support org. We are new.
  • Buffer has an engagement inbox and analytics. We do neither — we only publish.

We'd rather you picked the right tool than churned in month two. If the right-hand column describes you, buy theirs.

FAQ

Moving from Buffer

Not automatically yet. Scheduled posts have to be recreated, which is why most people run both for a week and let the old queue drain rather than migrating in one go.

No. A network can be connected to several tools at once, so you can run both in parallel while you decide. Just don't queue the same post twice.

They stop going out at the end of your paid period. Export your queue first — the API returns everything, and we don't hold your content hostage.

Ask. If you are moving several brands across we would rather have you than the margin on your first two months.
