PostWharf vs Later

Later is built around a visual Instagram planner. PostWharf is built around a queue and an API.

The pricing model

What six brands actually costs

Later prices by "social set", which is the closest thing to per-brand pricing anyone else offers. Thirty channels across six brands, five networks each — the shape most people running more than one account end up with.

ProductCharges perSix brands, 30 channels
PostWharf — PlusWorkspace$67 / mo · 10 workspaces
Later — StarterSocial set$18.75 / mo · 1 set (8 profiles), 1 user
Later — GrowthSocial set$37.50 / mo · 2 sets, 2 users
Later — ScaleSocial set$82.50 / mo · 6 sets, 4 users

Straight answer

PostWharf or Later?

Where PostWharf wins

  • 10 workspaces at $67 against 6 sets at $82.50
  • Unlimited users — Later caps seats per tier
  • CLI, API and MCP server; Later has no agent surface
  • Delivery receipts on every post

Where Later wins

  • Later prices per brand too, so the structural argument is weaker here than against Buffer or Hootsuite.
  • Later has a strong visual planner and link-in-bio product. We have neither.
  • Their prices above are the yearly rate — monthly is higher, but so is the value if you want the planner.

We'd rather you picked the right tool than churned in month two. If the right-hand column describes you, buy theirs.

FAQ

Moving from Later

Not automatically yet. Scheduled posts have to be recreated, which is why most people run both for a week and let the old queue drain rather than migrating in one go.

No. A network can be connected to several tools at once, so you can run both in parallel while you decide. Just don't queue the same post twice.

They stop going out at the end of your paid period. Export your queue first — the API returns everything, and we don't hold your content hostage.

Ask. If you are moving several brands across we would rather have you than the margin on your first two months.
